New Delhi, September 25, 2025 — The Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), in collaboration with the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee, proudly commemorated World Tourism Day on 25 September at the historic Red Fort Grounds, Delhi. This year’s global theme, “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” underscored the event’s focus on the transformative power of tourism as a driver of sustainable development and cross-cultural understanding. The evening brought together an esteemed gathering of ambassadors, diplomats, business delegates and distinguished guests in a celebration that combined global awareness with India’s timeless cultural heritage.


The event witnessed the gracious presence of H.E. Mr. Aloys Bizindavyi, Ambassador of Burundi; H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav, Ambassador of Mongolia; H.E. Mr. K.L. Ganju, Consul General of the Union of Comoros; representatives and diplomats from the Embassies of Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Niger, Palestine, Sri Lanka and Vietnam; along with 25 visiting business delegates from Vietnam. The evening was further enriched by the participation of expatriates from Sri Lanka, Japan and Nigeria, reflecting the diverse international representation. Each of these dignitaries conveyed their deep appreciation for the remarkable efforts of the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee in preserving and promoting India’s cultural traditions.






In his address, H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav expressed his admiration for the Ramleela tradition, emphasizing the significance of its continuity over more than a century. He noted that witnessing this timeless narrative of Lord Rama against the majestic backdrop of the Red Fort not only showcased India’s living heritage but also reflected the universal values of devotion, perseverance and cultural unity. The confluence of World Tourism Day’s global theme with the 102-year-old Ramleela of Lord Rama created a unique platform for intercultural dialogue, reflection and appreciation.

On this occasion, GTTCI honored key individuals for their outstanding contributions. Shri Suresh Goyal, Chairman of the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee, was recognized for his exemplary leadership and dedication. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, President of GTTCI, presented mementos to the visiting dignitaries as a gesture of gratitude for their support and participation. Shri Dhiraj Dhar Gupta, General Secretary of the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee, extended heartfelt thanks to the ambassadors, diplomats, business delegates and distinguished guests, reaffirming the committee’s resolve to continue its work with renewed zeal. Secretary Pradeep Sharan welcomed the gathering with warmth and honored the excellencies with a traditional Patka, while Shri Atul Gupta and Vice President Vinay Sharma were acknowledged for their relentless contributions to the cause.











The evening was further graced by the presence of special guests Dr. Kaarthikeyan, Advisor to GTTCI, and Acharya Lokesh Muni Ji, whose words of wisdom and blessings lent deeper meaning to the celebration.
