Strengthening Bilateral Ties: GTTCI Welcomes Fiji’s New Ambassador to India

In a significant step towards enhancing Indo-Fijian relations, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of the Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), recently met with His Excellency Mr. Jagnnath Sami, the newly appointed Ambassador of Fiji to New Delhi. This pivotal meeting underscores the long-standing and amicable relationship between India and Fiji, and the shared commitment to furthering cooperation in various sectors.

Dr. Gupta warmly welcomed Ambassador Sami to India, highlighting the historical and cultural ties that bind the two nations. He emphasized the mutual benefits of strengthening trade, investment, and technological collaboration. Dr. Gupta briefed Ambassador Sami on the efforts of GTTCI in promoting Fiji in India through the GTTCI India-Fiji Forum, an initiative dedicated to fostering deeper economic and cultural connections between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nilesh Kumar Roneel, Counsellor at the Embassy of Fiji, and Ms. Jyoti Kaur, representing Yashoda Superspeciality Hospital, a distinguished member of GTTCI. Ms. Kaur took the opportunity to inform the Ambassador about the advanced medical technologies available at Yashoda Superspeciality Hospital, particularly their pioneering work in robotic surgeries. This collaboration exemplifies the potential for India and Fiji to exchange knowledge and expertise in the healthcare sector.

Dr. Gupta expressed GTTCI’s commitment to supporting and promoting Fiji as a prime destination for trade and investment. He outlined the various initiatives undertaken by GTTCI to highlight Fiji’s unique offerings, including tourism, agriculture, and healthcare. The GTTCI India-Fiji Forum serves as a platform to facilitate dialogue, create opportunities, and foster partnerships that are beneficial for both nations.
