SCM Middle East Conclave and Awards 2025 Highlights India-Middle East-Europe Trade Synergies; GTTCI Joins as Global Outreach Partner

Dubai, May 2025:
The SCM Middle East Conclave and Awards 2025, hosted by Logistics Shakti, brought together over 400 industry leaders, including prominent CEOs, CXOs, investors, and policymakers from India, the UAE, and countries across the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) was honoured to serve as the Global Outreach Partner for this landmark event, further reinforcing its commitment to fostering international trade and investment cooperation.

The Conclave was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Former President of India, and Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Government of India.

In his keynote address, Shri Kovind described the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) as “not just a trade route, but a bridge between civilisations.” Emphasising the need for deeper multilateral collaboration, he stated, “As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, partnerships like IMEC not only foster economic growth but also unite us in purpose and progress.”

The event drew participation from several distinguished members of the diplomatic community, including:

  • The Trade Commissioner of the United States Embassy
  • Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Israel
  • H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the UAE

Addressing the Conclave, Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, UAE, spotlighted the nation’s vision to lead in tech-enabled, sustainable trade. “The UAE stands at the nexus of a global economic transformation, where technology, innovation, and strategic partnerships are redefining the future of trade,” he said. He further noted that “our record-breaking non-oil foreign trade of USD 815 billion in 2024 reflects not just economic resilience, but our commitment to tech-enabled progress.”

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, was felicitated during the Conclave for his instrumental role in building international partnerships and facilitating cross-border collaboration. His efforts have significantly contributed to GTTCI’s stature as a trusted platform for diplomatic, trade, and technology linkages globally.
