The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in association with IFBIC, successfully led the Trade & Investment Mission: Cambodia 2025, aimed at fostering economic cooperation and strengthening bilateral trade and investment opportunities between India and Cambodia. The high-level delegation, comprising representatives from three leading trade institutions and twelve multidisciplinary private enterprises, engaged in productive discussions with key Cambodian ministries and business leaders from March 18–20, 2025.
High-Level Meetings with Key Cambodian Ministers
- Meeting with H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism
The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, who emphasized Cambodia’s commitment to fostering international tourism and investment. Indian business leaders praised Cambodia’s rich heritage, particularly Angkor Wat and Siem Reap’s iconic temples, and pledged to promote Cambodia as a prime travel destination for Indian tourists.
- Meeting with H.E. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries
Discussions with H.E. Dith Tina focused on investment opportunities in Cambodia’s agriculture and agro-processing sectors. Indian companies expressed interest in agricultural trade collaborations, particularly in rice, spices, and organic farming.
- Meeting at AI Farm Robotics Factory
The delegation explored possibilities for IT and digital collaboration in Cambodia, emphasizing India’s leadership in AI, fintech, and digital infrastructure. Both sides discussed the potential for Indian IT companies to invest in Cambodia’s growing digital economy.
- Meeting with the Secretary of State, Ministry of Mines & Energy
Key discussions revolved around sustainable energy solutions, solar power, and mineral resource exploration. Indian enterprises showcased interest in Cambodia’s renewable energy sector and mining opportunities to contribute to Cambodia’s energy security.
India-Cambodia Business Meet & B2B Engagements
A grand India-Cambodia Business Meet, organized by GTTCI in association with IFBIC, was held on March 19, 2025, at Olympia City Hotel by Dara, Phnom Penh. The event facilitated high-level networking, B2B meetings, and panel discussions covering finance, hospitality, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, steel utensils, infrastructure, and IT. The B2B was supported by various chambers of commerce including INCHAM, Philcham Cambodia, Cancham, SCC and France Camboudge which gathered over 50 business for interactions with Indian delegates.

Mr. Richhpal Singh, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, reaffirming India’s commitment to deepening economic and diplomatic relations with Cambodia.
Meeting with the Indian Ambassador
The delegation also had the privilege of meeting the Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, HE Mr. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung at the Embassy of India who extended a warm welcome and appreciated GTTCI’s efforts in enhancing bilateral trade. The Ambassador reiterated the Indian government’s support for expanding economic cooperation, urging businesses to explore untapped opportunities in Cambodia’s key sectors. The discussion further solidified GTTCI’s role as a pivotal player in Indo-Cambodian trade relations.
Cultural & Tourism Exploration
The mission concluded with an immersive cultural and tourism exploration, including visits to the Royal Palace, Angkor Wat, and Kulen River, reinforcing India’s historical and cultural ties with Cambodia.
