Tashkent, 10 June 2025:
In a significant step towards advancing international brand partnerships and cross-border trade collaboration, the Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Urban Hayot LLC—the parent company of Uzbekistan’s leading sportswear brand, 7Saber. The MoU was formally signed during the prestigious Tashkent International Investment Forum 2025 by Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson of GTTCI, and Mr. Makhmud, official representative of Urban Hayot LLC.

This strategic partnership aims to position 7Saber on the global stage, beginning with an impactful market entry into India, the world’s most dynamic and diverse consumer landscape. In addition to India, expansion into Gulf countries and Russia is also envisioned, tapping into growing demand for performance-driven and culturally resonant sportswear.

Under the MoU, GTTCI will provide 7Saber with end-to-end support in:
Integrated Trade Facilitation
Regulatory Alignment for Market Entry
Digital Transformation & Online Presence Development
Retail Strategy and Physical Expansion in India
With its expertise in trade policy, diplomatic outreach, and deep-rooted retail and e-commerce networks, GTTCI will enable 7Saber to access prominent trade platforms, engage with Indian influencers, and participate in international exhibitions. The collaboration will also include targeted marketing campaigns to position 7Saber as a premium activewear brand tailored to the preferences of Indian consumers across metro cities and Tier-II markets.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rashmi Saluja emphasized,
“This collaboration is not just about market entry—it’s about value creation, brand storytelling, and regional cooperation. We are proud to support 7Saber as a symbol of Uzbekistan’s growing innovation and entrepreneurial vision.”
7Saber, known for its high-performance sportswear and commitment to local manufacturing, represents the emerging strength of Central Asia’s creative economy. Through this partnership, GTTCI reaffirms its mission to promote promising brands from developing economies and connect them to global consumers and investors.
The partnership is expected to bring long-term benefits not only to the stakeholders involved but also to the broader Indo-Uzbek economic relationship. With India as the launchpad, the collaboration is a testament to GTTCI’s role as a catalyst in facilitating meaningful South-South cooperation and empowering regional brands for global success.
