Partnership to Strengthen India–Russia Trade, Investment, Technology and Industrial Cooperation
New Delhi, 9 September 2026: The Global Trade & Technology Council India (GTTCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Business Alliance (Russia) on 9 September 2026 at INNOPROM India 2026 – International Industrial Trade Fair, held at the Moscow International Pavilion, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President – GTTCI, and Mr. Sammy (Manoj) Kotwani, President – Indian Business Alliance (Russia), marking an important step towards strengthening India–Russia business relations and creating new avenues for bilateral trade, investment, technology exchange and industrial cooperation.
The inaugural INNOPROM India 2026, being held from 9–11 September 2026, marks the first edition of Russia’s flagship international industrial exhibition in India. The platform brings together government representatives, manufacturers, technology companies, investors and industry organisations from both countries, providing opportunities to showcase industrial capabilities, explore investments and foster partnerships across manufacturing, technology and other strategic sectors.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Kapil Khandelwal, Board Member – GTTCI, and Dr. Urvashi Mittal, who were present on the occasion.
The significance of INNOPROM India was further underscored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin visiting the exhibition and highlighting its importance in expanding India–Russia trade and industrial ties.
The MoU reflects GTTCI’s continued commitment to building international business networks and facilitating industry-to-industry engagement. The partnership with the Indian Business Alliance (Russia) is expected to strengthen institutional linkages, facilitate business opportunities and contribute to deeper India–Russia trade, investment and industrial cooperation.
