Seminar Highlights Africa Industrialisation Day at IEML

Greater Noida, 19th November 2024: The Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), as the Global Outreach Partner for the 4th EV India 2024 Expo, organized a seminar commemorating Africa Industrialisation Day at the India Expo Mart Limited (IEML).

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from diplomats representing the embassies of Ethiopia, Angola, and Somalia, alongside more than 80 EV brands and manufacturers. The event highlighted India’s prowess in electric vehicle innovation and its potential to contribute to Africa’s sustainable industrial growth.

Dr. Saroj, Chairman of iFEVA, felicitated the distinguished guests, acknowledging their commitment to fostering global partnerships for a sustainable future.

A key feature of the seminar was the panel discussion titled “Electrifying Africa: Challenges & Opportunities for a Sustainable EV Ecosystem.” Moderated by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, the panel delved into the challenges of EV infrastructure development in Africa and India’s pivotal role in supporting the continent’s transition to clean mobility.

Dr. Gupta emphasized the critical need for robust EV infrastructure and shared insights on how India’s expertise and innovations can act as a catalyst for Africa’s EV journey, fostering long-term partnerships and sustainable development.

The seminar showcased India’s largest and most innovative EV solutions, sparking global conversations on creating greener industrial ecosystems and marking a significant contribution to Africa Industrialisation Day celebrations.
