GTTCI & Lions Club Delhi Veg Mark International Day of Hope, Launch Cancer Awareness Drive

New Delhi, 12 July 2026: The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in association with Lions Club Delhi Veg, successfully organized an engaging programme to commemorate the International Day of Hope at the Ethiopian Cultural Centre, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The event brought together distinguished experts, diplomats, healthcare professionals, and members of civil society to celebrate the transformative power of hope through knowledge, health awareness, and community engagement.



Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI and Charter President of Lions Club Delhi Veg, spoke on the significance of hope as the foundation of human progress. He emphasized that hope empowers individuals to overcome adversity, fuels innovation, strengthens communities, and inspires positive change. He remarked that hope is what keeps people moving forward and remains the driving force behind every meaningful achievement and a more compassionate world.



The panel discussion, expertly moderated by Lion Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, featured eminent speakers who shared valuable insights across diverse fields of health, wellness, and personal development:



  • Acharya Neetu Sharma spoke on “Name Numerology,” highlighting the role of positive energy and self-belief in shaping one’s life journey.
  • Ms. Mamta Soni delivered an insightful presentation on रेडियोलॉजीअंधेरे में उम्मीद की रोशनी,” emphasizing the importance of radiology in early diagnosis and restoring hope through timely medical intervention.
  • Dr. Shaista Khan addressed the audience on Skin Health, focusing on preventive care, awareness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Dr. Pradeep Sharma introduced participants to Sujok Korean Therapy, explaining its holistic approach to wellness and pain management.
  • Ms. Hema Gulati concluded the session with her inspiring address on “Seeds of Hope – Spiritual Insight for Humanity,” encouraging compassion, inner strength, and spiritual well-being.




A major attraction of the programme was the complimentary health check-up and Sujok Korean Therapy camp conducted by Dr. Pradeep Sharma. Attendees benefited from free health consultations, basic health assessments, and personalized Sujok therapy sessions, making the event not only informative but also directly beneficial to the community. The initiative received an enthusiastic response and reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare and holistic wellness.



A significant highlight of the event was the launch of a Cancer Awareness Drive, aimed at promoting early detection, encouraging regular health screenings, and educating the public about cancer prevention. The initiative reflects the shared commitment of GTTCI and Lions Club Delhi Veg towards advancing public health and social responsibility.



The programme was graced by several distinguished guests, including Dr. Benno Böer, Head of the Natural Sciences Unit at UNESCO New Delhi, Ms. Nebiha, Dr. Leila, and members of the expatriate communities from Iran, Ethiopia, and Iraq, reflecting the international spirit of dialogue, cooperation, and community engagement.



The International Day of Hope concluded with an interactive networking session over high tea, enabling participants to exchange ideas, strengthen collaborations, and reaffirm their collective commitment to promoting hope, wellness, humanitarian values, and global friendship.
