New Delhi, 21 September 2026: The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI) hosted a Meet and Greet with Mr. Guo Ce, Minister of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, at the GTTCI Secretariat in New Delhi. The interaction brought together representatives of the Chinese Embassy, Chinese businesses and members of the Indian industry to exchange perspectives on strengthening economic engagement and exploring avenues for bilateral business cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Guo Ce, Minister of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, along with the First Secretary & Second Secretary of the Embassy and representatives from ZTE. The interaction provided a platform for constructive dialogue between Chinese representatives and Indian business leaders on emerging opportunities for trade, investment, technology and commercial collaboration.

Representing the Indian business community were Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, GTTCI; Mr. Dhiraj Gupta, Director, KSS Abhishek, Joyson Safety Systems India; Dr. Pawan Kansal, CMD, Shri & Sam and Chairman – Industrial Export – GTTCI; Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Director, Micromax; Shri Suresh Goyal, Chairman, Goyal Gases; Mr. Mahendra Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, MsCorpres Automation Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Umesh Agarwal; and Mr. Shubham Gupta, Director, GTTCI.

The discussions focused on strengthening India–China economic and commercial relations, fostering greater engagement between businesses from both countries, facilitating business delegations to China, and identifying potential areas for mutually beneficial cooperation. Participants also exchanged views on technology partnerships, market access, industry-level engagement and opportunities for Indian and Chinese enterprises to develop stronger commercial linkages.

The proposed business delegation to China was discussed as a potential initiative to facilitate direct interactions with Chinese companies, industry associations and other relevant stakeholders. Such engagements could help businesses gain a deeper understanding of market opportunities and explore avenues for collaboration.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and direct industry engagement in fostering international business partnerships. He reiterated GTTCI’s commitment to serving as a bridge between Indian enterprises and international stakeholders by facilitating meaningful interactions and creating opportunities for trade, investment, technology exchange and business collaboration.

The Meet and Greet reaffirmed the importance of continued communication and constructive engagement between the business communities of India and China. The interaction concluded with a shared emphasis on strengthening professional relationships, exploring practical areas of cooperation and fostering sustainable commercial opportunities.
