GTTCI Hosts Business Meeting to Bolster India-Vietnam Trade Relations

Hanoi, January 3, 2025 – The Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTCI) held a pivotal business meeting at its Vietnam office to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral trade between India and Vietnam. The session was led by Ms. Dang Thi Thanh, Chief Representative of GTTCI in Vietnam, with active participation from Mr. Rishabh Gupta, Global Trade Specialist, GTTCI at GTTCI VN office, VCCI Towers, Hanoi, Vietnam

The meeting brought together prominent representatives and business leaders from Vietnam to explore avenues for collaboration and strengthen economic ties.

GTTCI Representatives:

  2. Mr. Phan Thanh Long, Deputy Representative, GTTCI Vietnam.

Business Representatives:

  1. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong, a distinguished entrepreneur and leader, serves as Chairman of Phuong Dong International Trade and Import-Export Joint Stock Company and multiple other enterprises. As GTTCI’s Goodwill Ambassador in Vietnam, Dr. Cuong plays a key role in fostering trade partnerships.
  2. Ms. Vu Thi Suot, Deputy General Director of Bitexco Nam Long Joint Stock Company. With a workforce of nearly 2,000 employees, Bitexco Nam Long is a leader in high-quality cotton towel exports to Japan, with future expansion plans targeting Europe and the United States.

The meeting focused on identifying opportunities to strengthen India-Vietnam trade relations, support the growth of Vietnamese brands, and facilitate seamless trade connections through GTTCI’s global network. Discussions also included strategies for promoting Vietnamese exports and encouraging investments in key sectors.

Speaking at the session, Ms. Dang Thi Thanh stated, “This meeting reaffirms GTTCI’s dedication to bridging the trade potential between India and Vietnam. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to create mutually beneficial partnerships and contribute to global trade growth.”
