GTTCI and Nepal Embassy Celebrate 10th Anniversary of International Day of Yoga

GTTCI Elevates Yoga on the International Stage, Aligning with PM Modi’s Vision

New Delhi, 19th June 2024: The Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), in association with His Excellency Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Ambassador of Nepal to India, organized a yoga session at the Embassy of Nepal to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Yoga. This significant event featured an array of distinguished guests, diplomats, and ambassadors.

The yoga session was led by Dr. Simran Ahuja, Miss India and a Doctorate in Nature Cure, who has been recognized by the Prime Minister’s Office for her voluntary services in celebrating International Yoga Day. Her expertise and enthusiasm set the tone for a rejuvenating morning, which was further enriched by the participation of several eminent personalities.

The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Arunkoemar Hardien, Ambassador of Suriname, Her Excellency Mrs. Dillah Lucienne, Ambassador of Chad Republic, His Excellency Dr. Muawia Elbikhari, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Sudan, and Madam Dinara, spouse of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan. Diplomats from the embassies of Mauritius, Nepal, Palestine, and the Russian Federation also took part in the session, along with Chairperson – Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Founder President – Dr. Gaurav Gupta, and Chief Advisor – Mr. Rakesh Asthana from GTTCI.

Dr. D.R. Kaarthikeyan, Senior Former IPS Officer and GTTCI Advisor, was also in attendance, lending his support and insights to the event. The session included a meditation session by Rajyogini Dr. Binny Sareen, which provided a deep sense of relaxation and peace to the attendees.

Additionally, a face yoga session was conducted by Ms. Mansi Gulati, an internationally certified yogi and author of “Miracles of Face Yoga,” which was met with great enthusiasm. The event concluded with a healthy and light breakfast, fostering a spirit of community and wellness.

Dr. Rashmi Saluja delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks to all diplomats and ambassadors for adopting and practicing yoga, and expressed gratitude to His Excellency Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma for giving GTTCI the opportunity to organize this meaningful event.

GTTCI board members Mr. Kapil Khandelwal, Mr. Gopal Khandelwal, along with GTTCI members Mr. Jagdish Aggarwal, Mr. Sushil Goel, Ms. Ritu Bhagat, Ms. Sneha Routray, Mr. S.L. Tank, and Mr. Shubham Gupta also participated, adding to the success of the event.
