On the eve of International Tea Day, the Global Trade & Technology Council (India) joined hands with Dentem to host a special High Tea celebration at the Vasant Vihar Club, New Delhi. The event was a tribute to the rich culture, heritage, and global trade significance of tea, bringing together esteemed members of the diplomatic and business communities.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, in his welcome remarks, highlighted tea as a timeless instrument of diplomacy and dialogue. “Tea transcends borders. It is not just a beverage but a medium for connection, conversation, and cultural exchange,” he noted.

Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson of GTTCI, eloquently shared insights into the origins of tea, emphasizing how it has historically united people across continents and continues to resonate with the new generation in both tradition and innovation.

The gracious hosts for the evening, Dr. Tanvir Singh and Dr. Gunita Singh, Directors of Dentem, extended their heartfelt thanks to all distinguished guests for their presence. They also delivered a brief presentation on Dentem’s work in the healthcare sector, further adding to the spirit of collaboration and community.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several esteemed diplomatic missions. Among the prominent attendees were the Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji, Deputy Chiefs of Mission from the Embassies of Croatia and Ecuador, as well as diplomats from the Embassies of Bangladesh, Belarus, Chile, Djibouti, Somalia, Norway, Sri Lanka, and Trinidad & Tobago. The gathering shared personal experiences and cultural perspectives on tea from their respective countries, enhancing the spirit of global unity.








Guests from Nigeria and Syria also graced the occasion, further enriching the dialogue on tea as a global phenomenon.
