New Delhi, January 16th, 2025 – The American Center, New Delhi came alive with colors, creativity, and cultural harmony during the grand opening of the art exhibition DeMartcracy – Democracy of Art. Curated by Dr. Meenu Kumar, Founder of Cosmo Arts India Gallery, the exhibition showcased a stunning collection of photography, paintings, and sculptures that narrate the life stories of weavers and explore the human journey with its challenges, emotions, and resilience.

The artwork beautifully depicted the “web of life,” portraying the celebratory blooms of existence while reflecting on the masks humans wear to navigate various roles in life.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Asian Academy of Film and Television, as the Chief Guest. The event also featured an engaging panel discussion on Indo-US Art Ties and how art transcends borders to bind nations through shared expressions of creativity and culture.

Ms. Gloria, President of Diplomacy, American Embassy, along with Mr. Sandeep Marwah, was warmly welcomed by Mr. Shubham Gupta and Dr. Meenu Kumar, setting the tone for an evening of inspiration and cultural exchange.

The exhibition is a collaborative effort between Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI) and Cosmo Arts India Gallery, aiming to celebrate the intersection of art and democracy. The show is open for public viewing from January 16th to 30th, 2025, at the American Embassy Center, New Delhi.

Adding to the vibrancy of the evening was a soulful dance performance by children from the Mudra Academy, who enthralled the audience with an Indo-USA fusion medley that had everyone tapping their feet.

This unique art show stands as a testament to the unifying power of art and its ability to foster connections across cultures and nations.
