Farewell Ceremony for Ambassador of Nepal by GTTCI & Religare

New Delhi, 2nd July 2024 – The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in collaboration with the Religare Group, hosted a grand farewell ceremony in honor of H.E. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, the esteemed Ambassador of Nepal. The event was held at the residence of Chairperson, Dr. Rashmi Saluja, to celebrate Dr. Sharma’s invaluable contributions towards strengthening bilateral relations and fostering people-to-people ties between India and Nepal.

The ceremony commenced with an opening address by Dr. Rashmi Saluja, who warmly welcomed all the distinguished ambassadors and diplomats in attendance. Dr. Saluja reminisced about the deep bond shared between India and Nepal and expressed her gratitude for Dr. Sharma’s exemplary service. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, followed with an introductory address, highlighting the enduring partnership between the Embassy of Nepal and GTTCI. He fondly recalled the various collaborative events, including the celebration of International Yoga Day, Holi festivities, and numerous other occasions that brought the diplomatic community together. Mr. Rakesh Asthana, Chief Advisor of GTTCI, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the strong international ties and the unique relationship between India and Nepal. He praised Dr. Sharma for his dedicated efforts in enhancing these bonds during his tenure.

In his heartfelt farewell speech, Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma remarked, “India is the nearest and dearest of Nepal,” and extended his heartfelt thanks to GTTCI for their unwavering support and close association during his time in India.
