Exploring Investment Opportunities in Suriname – A Promising Venture

The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) was an active participant in the Suriname-India Business Meeting, a prestigious event organized by the Embassy of Suriname in New Delhi on December 5, 2023. This significant congregation took place at the ITC Maurya, New Delhi, in collaboration with SITA (Suriname Investment & Trade Agency) and CII.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, received an invitation from His Excellency Mr. Arunkoemar Hardien, the Ambassador of Suriname, to honour the delegation led by H.E. Albert R. Ramdin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, and International Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname. The delegation comprised Joan Ilahi, an Advisor on International Projects, and Sachi Ramlal-Soekhoe, the Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs.

The primary focus of the meeting revolved around the exploration of investment prospects within Suriname’s gas and mining sectors. This assembly served as a platform to deliberate and uncover avenues for mutually beneficial partnerships, fostering economic growth and global collaboration. With burgeoning interest and concerted efforts, the Suriname-India nexus promises an exciting future ripe with potential opportunities in these sectors.
