Embassy of Nepal & GTTCI Celebrate International Day of Yoga 2026 with a Message of Wellness, Harmony and Global Unity


New Delhi, 19th June 2026: The Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 19th June 2026 at the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi. The event brought together diplomats, industry leaders, wellness advocates, and distinguished guests to highlight the importance of yoga, meditation, and holistic well-being.



The programme commenced with insightful keynote addresses by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President – GTTCI, and Dr. Surendra Thapa, Chargé d’Affaires (CdA), Embassy of Nepal, who emphasized the role of yoga as a universal practice promoting physical health, mental peace, and global harmony. They highlighted the growing significance of yoga as a bridge between cultures and nations, fostering friendship and cooperation.



The celebration witnessed the gracious presence of diplomatic representatives, including the Chargé d’Affaires from Nicaragua and a Diplomat from Papua New Guinea, along with other distinguished guests and members of the international community.




A special yoga and wellness session was conducted by renowned yoga instructor Ms. Mansi Gulati, who guided participants through various yoga practices aimed at enhancing balance, flexibility, and mindfulness. The event also featured a calming meditation session led by Mr. Navratan Aggarwal, Director – Bikanervala, focusing on inner peace and mental well-being.



Adding to the spirit of the celebration, a Suryanamaskar session was performed by Ms. Poonam Pearl, showcasing the essence of this traditional yogic practice. A special musical performance by the Antrik Special Kids Band further enriched the occasion, spreading a message of inclusivity, positivity, and inspiration.




The event was supported by Gopal’s56 as the Hospitality Partner, contributing towards the warm and gracious arrangements for the celebration.



The celebration concluded with a shared commitment towards promoting wellness, cultural exchange, and stronger global connections through the timeless values of yoga. The event reflected the collective efforts of the Embassy of Nepal and GTTCI in encouraging a healthier and more harmonious world.
