MOS MEENAKSHI LEKHI ATTENDED DIWALI BY VIETNAM EMBASSY & GTTCI*

HE Mr Pham Sanh Chau – Ambassador of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Dr Gaurav Gupta – Founder President of Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI) hosted Diwali celebrations with Indo-Vietnam Friendship Society on 1st November 2021 at The Embassy of Vietnam, New Delhi, India. The chief guest of the event were Honble Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture Mrs Meenakshi Lekhi. In his welcome address, Vietnamese Ambassador expressed his will to promote Diwali Festival as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Hon’ble minister appreciated the efforts of the Embassy & GTTCI in bringing together Indo-Vietnam community for celebration of Indian festivals that help strengthen bilateral trade & cultural relations and shed light on deep cultural and trade relations the two nations have since ages. Dr Gaurav Gupta presented a painting to Hon’ble Minister along with Mr KL Malhotra. The Ambassador, Honble Minister & GTTCI Founder then enjoyed Vietnamese delicacies and had a brief discussion about how such initiatives can be taken further for strengthening of mutually beneficial ties between India & Vietnam. The guests enjoyed Indian traditional dance performances by Ol That Jazz and Indian delicacies from Gopal’s 56 by Dr Gaurav Goyal. The council with its members & guests Mr Dhiraj Dhar Gupta, Mr Ashish Gupta, Mr Ashwani Aggarwal, Dr Vinod K Verma, Balwinder Singh, Jyoti Jain felicitated and presented diwali greetings to entire team of Vietnam Embassy.
