New Horizons: India and Vietnam Discuss Trade Expansion at Business Meet

New Delhi, March 25, 2025 – The Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam organized a business meet at its premises in New Delhi, facilitating one-on-one interactions between Indian and Vietnamese businesses. The event aimed to strengthen bilateral trade ties and explore opportunities across various sectors.​

In 2024, trade turnover between Vietnam and India reached approximately US$15 billion, marking a 4.5% increase compared to 2023. Vietnam’s exports to India amounted to $9.06 billion, up 7.6% year-on-year, while imports from India stood at $5.8 billion, reflecting Vietnam’s continued trade surplus advantage. ​

The Vietnamese delegation led by Vietrade represented diverse sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, food and beverage, textiles, and technology. This diversity facilitated comprehensive discussions on potential collaborations and trade opportunities.​

Mr. Minh introduced the distinguished Vietnamese delegation, followed by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, who welcomed the delegates and presented key Indian businesses. Dr. Gupta reiterated GTTCI’s commitment to fostering trade and investment partnerships between India and Vietnam.​

The meeting was efficiently mediated by the Trade Office, with invaluable support from First Secretary Ms. Tran Thi Lan Huong and Ms. Yen, ensuring productive discussions and meaningful connections.​

From GTTCI, Mr. Sonal Garg and Mr. Shubham Gupta actively engaged with the Vietnamese delegation, contributing to insightful exchanges on trade and industry collaborations.​
