Exploring Bilateral Collaborations
New Delhi, India – A significant business meeting between the Official Delegation of Kien Giang, Vietnam, and New Delhi took place on Friday, 1st December 2023, at the India International Centre Annexe. Organized by the Global Trade & Technology Council (India), the meeting aimed to foster collaboration and explore opportunities between Kien Giang Province and India.
Led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Province, the delegation comprised senior officials from various departments including foreign affairs, finance, industry and trade, tourism, culture and sports, planning and investment, alongside notable companies operating in tourism, smart and clean agriculture, aquaculture, forestry, fishery processing, manufacturing, and IT industries.
Strengthening Ties: Key Discussions and Agreements
The esteemed meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, the Ambassador of Vietnam to India, who presided over the discussions and exchanges between the two delegations.
Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and extended felicitations to the guests.
Ambassador Amarendra Khatua elaborated on the numerous opportunities available for collaboration between Kien Giang and India, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Keynote addresses were delivered by His Excellency Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, shedding light on the shared objectives and avenues for cooperation between the regions.

Introduction to tourism products and services by Mrs. Tran Thi Nguyen – DGM – Sun World Group Company Limited, Mr. Adam Owen Riley – Head of Hotel Management and Tourism Services – BIM Group, Mr. Subash Gadtaula – GM – Resort CEO Phu Quoc, and Mr. Hoang Dai Ngai – Deputy Director of foreign markets – Vietravel.
Address by Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Head of Trade Office of Vietnam Embassy.
Additionally, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to solidify collaborations, including:
An MoU between Indian companies HS Travels & Holiday Fiesta with Vietravels.
MoUs signed by three Indian companies with CEO Group, Vietnam, aimed at the promotion of tourism between the two countries.
The meeting concluded on a successful note, witnessing fruitful discussions, presentations, and the exchange of ideas centered around the promising tourism prospects offered by Kien Giang Province.
GTTCI board members, Dr. Sabeen Ahsan, Kapil Khandelwal, and GK Khandelwal, along with Dr. Gaurav Gupta, extended their appreciation and felicitations to the entire delegation for their valuable contributions to the event.
