The Embassy of Myanmar, in collaboration with the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Society, marked a momentous celebration of Diwali on November 8th, 2023. His Excellency Mr. Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of Myanmar, hosted a grand event at the Embassy of Myanmar in New Delhi, which saw the presence of distinguished ambassadors and diplomats from various countries, including Myanmar, Mauritius, Brunei, Syria, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Comoros, Lesotho, Azerbaijan, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Laos, and Thailand. This vibrant gathering showcased the rich diversity of global cultures and fostered the spirit of camaraderie and friendship.
The event was co-organized by the Global Trade & Technology Council of India (GTTCI), Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), and Lions Club Delhi Veg. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, the Founder President of GTTCI, and Mr. Subhash Goyal from the Stic Travel Group extended a warm welcome to all esteemed guests.
The festivities were further enriched by the presence of several women entrepreneurs from COWE, who showcased their exceptional Indian handicraft products through various stalls. The collaborative effort reflected the collective commitment to promote and celebrate the rich heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of India.
In a gesture of honor and respect, all diplomatic guests were felicitated on the stage by members of GTTCI and COWE, alongside Dr. Gaurav Gupta and Ms. Meetu Puri, the President of COWE, emphasizing the significance of international cooperation and cultural exchange in today’s global landscape.
The guests were treated to the warm hospitality of Stic Travel Group and the delectable cuisine of Gopal’s 56, enhancing the joyful ambiance of the Diwali celebration.
