Russian House and GTTCI Celebrate Cultural Harmony through the ‘Barefoot’ Dance Concert

Russian House, New Delhi, in association with the Global Trade & Technology Council (India), successfully hosted an enchanting cultural evening featuring a performance by the Model Studio of Free Dance – “Barefoot”, dedicated to the Day of Love, Family and Fidelity, on 7th  July 2026 at the GTTCI Office, Areness House, New Delhi.



The cultural programme featured over 17 talented artists from Russia, accompanied by their choreographer, who arrived in New Delhi on 6th  July 2026 to present the special performance. Through expressive choreography, artistic storytelling, and graceful movements, the ensemble captivated the audience while celebrating the universal values of love, family, and fidelity. The event reflected the shared commitment of India and Russia towards promoting cultural diplomacy and strengthening people-to-people ties through the arts.




The evening was graced by the presence of the Ambassadors of Fiji, Malaysia, and Mongolia. The programme also witnessed the participation of diplomats representing Croatia, Mauritania, Niger, Russia, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, highlighting the strong international interest in cultural exchange and global friendship. The event was further honoured by the presence of Dr. Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India, whose participation underscored the enduring cultural partnership between India and Russia.



Addressing the gathering, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, Global Trade & Technology Council (India), highly appreciated the remarkable talent, discipline, and artistic excellence demonstrated by the performers of the Model Studio of Free Dance – Barefoot. He commended the artists for presenting an emotionally captivating performance that transcended language and geographical boundaries, earning admiration from the distinguished audience. Dr. Gupta noted that cultural exchanges such as these serve as powerful instruments for strengthening international understanding, fostering goodwill, and building enduring global friendships.


Speaking on the longstanding relationship between India and Russia, Dr. Gupta highlighted that both countries share a time-tested strategic partnership founded on mutual trust, respect, and extensive cooperation across culture, education, science, technology, trade, and people-to-people exchanges. He emphasized that cultural initiatives complement diplomatic and economic relations by bringing societies closer together and strengthening bilateral ties.



The evening concluded with the felicitation of all the artists in recognition of their outstanding performance. Ms. Elena Barman, President, Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the performers, dignitaries, guests, and organizers for making the event a memorable celebration of Indo-Russian friendship and cultural cooperation. The programme reaffirmed the shared commitment of Russian House and GTTCI to promoting cultural dialogue and strengthening the enduring bonds between India and Russia through meaningful artistic collaborations.
