GTTCI Hosts Farewell Ceremony in Honour of H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia

The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) hosted a distinguished Farewell Ceremony in honour of H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia, on 7th July 2026 at the GTTCI Office, Areness House, New Delhi. The gathering celebrated the High Commissioner’s valuable diplomatic contributions towards strengthening India–Malaysia relations while bringing together members of the diplomatic corps, industry leaders, and distinguished guests.



The ceremony was graced by the presence Ambassador of Fiji and Ambassador of Mongolia who shared their warm appreciation and heartfelt sentiments for H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa, acknowledging his efforts in promoting friendship, cooperation, and stronger international relations. The event also witnessed the participation of diplomats representing Croatia, Mauritania, Niger, Russia, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, further highlighting GTTCI’s commitment to fostering meaningful global diplomatic engagement.




H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to GTTCI for organizing the farewell ceremony and reflected on the warm and enduring relationship between India and Malaysia. In his address, he highlighted the strong foundations of bilateral cooperation built on mutual trust, shared democratic values, and expanding partnerships across trade, investment, education, tourism, technology, and cultural exchange. He emphasized the immense potential for further collaboration between the two nations and expressed confidence that the India–Malaysia partnership would continue to grow stronger through sustained engagement between governments, businesses, and people. He also appreciated the role of organizations such as GTTCI in fostering meaningful dialogue and strengthening economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.



Delivering the special keynote address, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, GTTCI, acknowledged the significant role played by H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa in furthering the India–Malaysia partnership during his diplomatic tenure. Reflecting on the strong association shared with the High Commissioner, Dr. Gupta highlighted the numerous memorable engagements and collaborative initiatives undertaken together, including the Malaysia Madani Festival, which celebrated the rich cultural connect and growing cooperation between the two nations.



Dr. Gupta expressed his gratitude for the High Commissioner’s continued support and emphasized that these shared experiences have further strengthened the bonds of friendship, understanding, and cooperation between India and Malaysia. He reaffirmed GTTCI’s commitment to continuing its close engagement with Malaysia and expressed his hope for sustained collaboration with H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa in his personal capacity in the years ahead.



Highlighting the broader role of diplomacy, Dr. Gupta emphasized that diplomatic partnerships serve as a powerful catalyst for expanding trade, investment, technology collaboration, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections. He reiterated GTTCI’s commitment to working closely with foreign missions and international partners to create new opportunities for global cooperation and sustainable economic growth.



The event was further enriched by the presence of eminent dignitaries from diverse sectors, including General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Former Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Indian Army; Mr. Dhiraj Dhar Gupta, Director – Joyson Safety Systems; Mr. Kazem Samandari, Chairman – L’Opera; Mr. Navratan Aggarwal, Director – Bikanervala; and Dr. Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India.




During the ceremony, General Dalbir Singh Suhag fondly reminisced about his engagements and interactions with the Malaysian Army, highlighting the longstanding defence cooperation, mutual respect, and strong institutional bonds shared between India and Malaysia.



Mr. Dhiraj Dhar Gupta highlighted the remarkable cooperation and support extended by Malaysian companies, appreciating their professionalism and collaborative approach in strengthening business partnerships. He also conveyed his best wishes to H.E. Mr. Muzafar Shah Bin Mustafa for his future assignment and expressed hope for continued cooperation between Indian and Malaysian enterprises.
