New Delhi, 26 March 2026: Strengthening India–Cuba economic ties, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Global Trade and Technology Council (India) convened a high-level strategic meeting on 26th March 2026, fostering enhanced collaboration in trade, technology, and investment between the two nations.

The meeting commenced with Welcome Remarks by Mr. Antonio Carricarte Corona, President, CCRC, who emphasized Cuba’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic engagement with India and highlighted emerging opportunities for collaboration across sectors including trade facilitation, industrial cooperation, and technology exchange. This was followed by Welcome Remarks by Dr. Mrs. Rashmi Saluja, President, GTTCI, who reaffirmed GTTCI’s vision to expand global partnerships and promote sustainable trade linkages between India and Latin American nations.
The distinguished gathering witnessed the gracious presence of H.E. Juan Carlos Marzan, Cuban Ambassador to India, along with Mrs. Maiky Diaz Perez, First Secretary, Cuban Embassy, New Delhi, underscoring the diplomatic significance of the engagement. Senior representatives from CCRC also joined virtually, including Mrs. Luisa Martinez, Director of International Division, and Mrs. Loida Rivera, Indian Desk Officer, reflecting Cuba’s strong institutional commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation.

From the Indian side, the meeting was attended by prominent leaders and experts including Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, GTTCI; Mr. Shubham Gupta, Director, GTTCI; Ms. Jeeva Bhat, Head of Corporate Affairs, GTTCI; and Mr. Sanjay Kaushik, Global Advisor – Investment & Hospitality, GTTCI. The presence of distinguished dignitaries such as General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Former Chief of the Army Staff, Indian Army, and Mr. Dharmendra Kumar, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Delhi, further enriched the strategic dialogue. Additional participants included Mr. Ishan Jasuja, Founder & Director, GSU, Mr. Abhishek Mishra, Former Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh (Virtual), along with other esteemed stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepening India–Cuba relations through structured dialogue, business matchmaking, and technology-driven partnerships, marking a significant milestone in advancing bilateral economic cooperation and global engagement.
