25 December 2025 | New Delhi

The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in association with Poly Fibre World, organised a dignified and warm commemoration of the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December 2025 at the Poly Fibre World Farm, New Delhi. The observance was thoughtfully aligned with a Christmas luncheon, symbolising India’s inclusive ethos and the timeless spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world as one family.

The gathering harmoniously celebrated the legacy of Atal Ji alongside the joy of Christmas. Guests were treated to a curated selection of Old Delhi delicacies—fondly remembered as among Atal Ji’s favourites—adding a personal and cultural resonance to the occasion. The Poly Fibre gazebos and cottages, set amid serene surroundings, were widely admired for their charm and hospitality.

The commemoration was graced by Ambassadors and diplomats from Comoros, Madagascar, Libya, Djibouti, and Venezuela, along with distinguished guests including Padma Shri Yogeshwar Dutt, Chief Advisor Rakesh Asthana, Dr. Ashwani Mehta, Shri Navratan Aggarwal, and Dr. Harsha Jauhari, among others.

In her address, Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson, GTTCI, reflected on the essence of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and India’s tradition of welcoming all faiths and celebrating all festivals together. She paid heartfelt tribute to Atal Ji, describing him as “a Santa to India,” whose generous vision and statesmanship gave immeasurably to the nation.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, GTTCI, expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries and guests for their presence, noting that their participation made the occasion truly cheerful and meaningful. Dr. Ashwani Mehta and Shri Yogeshwar Dutt also shared messages of harmony and togetherness, offering respectful tributes to Atal Ji’s enduring legacy.

The host for the day, Mr. Ankur Khandelwal, Chairman, Poly Fibre World, was warmly thanked by all attendees for his gracious hospitality and for creating a setting that beautifully complemented the spirit of the celebration.

The event stood as a poignant reminder of India’s pluralistic values, honouring a great statesman while celebrating unity, compassion, and shared joy across cultures and traditions.
