Under the able leadership of Chef de Mission Padma Shri Yogeshwar Dutt, Team India has shown remarkable determination, discipline, and unity — embodying the true essence of “Nation First.”

Adding to the nation’s pride, Yashita clinched a gold medal in the girls’ freestyle wrestling (61kg) category after a thrilling bout against Kazakhstan’s Zhaidar Mukat. Her victory, determined by criteria after a hard-fought 5-5 finish, marks India’s fourth gold at the ongoing Games and further strengthens India’s dominance in the wrestling arena.

In the arena of Table Tennis, the dynamic duo Syndrela Das and Sarthak Arya showcased exceptional talent, securing a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event after an intense semifinal against China. Their early lead and fighting spirit throughout the match won hearts, even as they narrowly missed a spot in the finals.

Meanwhile, in Boxing, Anant Deshmukh added another bronze for India in the boys’ 66kg category, exhibiting grit and courage against tough competition from Kazakhstan.

Further boosting India’s medal hopes, six Indian boxers have advanced to the finals, including Khushi Chand, Chandrika Pujari, Harnoor Kaur, Anshika, and Ahaana Sharma in the girls’ division, and Lanchenba Singh Moibungkhongbam in the boys’ 50kg event.

These incredible achievements have elevated India’s medal tally to 27, comprising 4 Gold, 10 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals — a commendable feat reflecting the country’s growing sporting ecosystem.
