The GTTCI Trade Chamber successfully organized a high-level visit of the senior leadership of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH), New Delhi, to Kokand University, Uzbekistan, furthering its mission of fostering international collaboration in healthcare and education.





The distinguished delegation included Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman, Board of Management, and Dr. Satendra Katoch, Director Medical, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, led by Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson, GTTCI. The team visited the Kokand branch of the university, renowned for its modern infrastructure and academic excellence.


















A highlight of the visit was the invitation extended to the delegation as Guests of Honour at the graduation ceremony of Kokand University. The event was graced by prominent dignitaries including the Mayor of Kokand and the Deputy Governor of Fergana Region, underscoring the importance of the occasion and the growing Indo-Uzbek ties.
The delegation commended the achievements of the graduating students and appreciated the university’s vision of advancing global medical education. The visit also included discussions on faculty collaboration, curriculum alignment with India’s National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, and upcoming initiatives such as the Indian Medical City in Andijan.



The SGRH leadership expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Kokand University for creating a world class institute for Medical Education, Healthcare and Medical Tourism ensuring Resource Building and providing faculty as per NMC guidelines, and align the university’s curriculum with the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines of India. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to uphold academic excellence and regulatory compliance.
